Herein is the Practice of the Lama,

“The Ornament of the Wish-Fullfilling Jewel”

༄༅། །རྒྱལ་བ་ཐམས་ཅད་འདུས་པའི་ངོ་བོ།

བླ་མ་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་སྐུ་གསུང་ཐུགས་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ།

Homage to the essence of all the Buddhas,

the Enlightened Body, Speech, and Mind of the Lama!

འདིར་བླ་མའི་སྒྲུབ་པ་བསམ་འཕེལ་ནོར་བུའི་རྒྱན་ཞེས་བྱ་བ། དད་པ་དང་བརྩོན་འགྲུས་ལྡན་པ། བླ་མ་ལ་

མོས་ཤིང་འཆི་བ་རྗེས་སུ་དྲན་པའི་གང་ཟག་གིས། རང་གར་བཞུགས་ཀྱི་གནས་དེ་ནི་རྒྱལ་བའི་ཕོ་བྲང་ཡིན་

པར་སྒོམ། གནས་དེ་རུ་འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་བྱ་བ་བོར་ལ། ལོག་འཚོ་དང་ལྕི་བའི་ཡོ་བྱད་དང་མ་འབྲེལ་བར་བླ་མ་

བསྒྲུབ་པར་བྱ་སྟེ།

For those who have faith and diligence, who have devotion to the Lama, and

remember death, meditate that wherever you stay is a palace of the Buddhas.

Abandon worldly activities. Do the practice of the Lama with offerings of

possessions that are not connected to wrong livelihood or negative actions.

དེ་ཡང་། ལུས་ཆ་ལུགས་ལྔ་ལྡན་གྱིས་ངང་ནས། སྐྱབས་འགྲོ་དང་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་སྤྱི་དང་མཐུན་པར་བྱ་ལ།

Furthermore, in the five point body posture, go for refuge and generate the

Enlightened Mind in the general way.

གཤེན་རབ་བླ་མ་སྐུ་གསུམ་འབྱུང་གནས་དཔལ།

Shen Rab Lama Ku Sum Jung Né Pal

The Lama, who is the glorious source of the Three Enlightened Bodies,

དུས་གསུམ་བདེར་གཤེགས་འགྲོ་བ་ཡོངས་ཀྱི་མགོན།

Dü Sum Der Shek Dro Wa Yong Kyi Gön

The Buddhas of the three times, who are the protectors of beings,

སྐུ་གཟུགས་ཞལ་སྐྱིན་སྐུ་གདུང་གསུང་རབ་རྟེན།

Ku Zuk Zhal Kyin Ku Dung Sung Rab Ten

The supports of images, statues, stupas, and scriptures,

ཕྱོགས་བཅུའི་གཤེན་རབ་ཐར་ལམ་སྟོན་པའི་སྒྲོན།

Chok Chü Shen Rab Tar Lam Tön Pé Drön

The Shenrabs of the ten directions, who are guiding lights on path of liberation,

གནས་བཞིར་ཕྱག་འཚལ་འགྲོ་ཀུན་སྐྱབས་སུ་མཆི།

Ne Zhir Chak Tsal Dro Kün Kyab Su Chi

I and all sentient beings, prostrate and go to refuge in the Four Jewels.

Generating Bodhichitta

ཇི་ལྟར་རྒྱལ་བ་འཕགས་པ་ཇི་བཞིན་དུ།

Ji Tar Gyal Wa Pak Pa Ji Zhin Du

Generating the Enlightened Mind, Just as the Noble Buddhas have done,

འདི་སོགས་དུས་གསུམ་དགེ་བའི་མཐུ་དཔལ་གྱིས།

Di Sok Dü Sum Ge Wé Tu Pal Gyi

Through the power and glory of the virtues of the three times,

སེམས་ཅན་སངས་རྒྱས་ཐོབ་པར་བྱ་བའི་ཕྱིར།

Sem Chen San Gye Tob Par Ja Wé Chir

So all sentient beings to attain enlightenment,

བདག་ནི་བྱང་ཆུབ་མཆོག་ཏུ་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་དོ།

Dak Ni Chang Chub Chok Tu Sem Kyé Do

I generate the supreme Enlightened Mind.

ཀུན་གཞི་མཐའ་བྲལ་གྱི་ཏིང་འཛིན་འཕྲོ་འདུ་གནས་གསུམ་དུ་བླ་མའི་སྐུ་གསུམ་དུ་བསྐྱེད་པ་ནི།

In the meditative concentration of the limitless Natural State, and through

emanating and gathering, generate the Three Enlightened Bodies of the Lama

in the three places.

First, the Generation Stage

བདག་གི་སྤྱི་གཙུག་འོག་མིན་བདེ་བ་ཆེན་པོའི་ཕོ་བྲང་། ཕོ་བྲང་དེའི་དབུས་སུ་གཅན་ལྔ་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་ཁྲི་དང་ཉི་

ཟླ་པད་མའི་གདན་ལ། རང་གི་རྩ་བའི་བླ་མ་དེ་ཀུན་བཟང་གཤེན་ལྷའི་ཆ་ལུགས་ལ། དཔོན་གསས་བླ་མ་

རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བསྐོར་ནས་བཞུགས་པར་བསྒོམ།

Imagine your crown chakra is the palace of great bliss of Ogmin. In the

center of that, upon a precious jeweled throne supported by five lions and

cushions of sun, moon, and lotus, is your root Lama in the form of Künzang

Shenlha surrounded by the Pönsé Lamas. Imagine they are all present.

རང་གི་མགྲིན་པ་དབང་ཆེན་གཞལ་ཡས་འབར་བའི་གསས་མཁར། གསས་མཁར་དེའི་དབུས་སུ་གཅན་ལྔ་

Imagine in your throat is a blazing deity palace of great power. In the center

of that deity palace upon a precious jeweled throne supported by five lions

and cushions of sun, moon, and lotus, is your root Lama in the form of a

wrathful Yidam surrounded by the hosts of peaceful and wrathful Yidams.

Imagine in your heart is a celestial palace of yungdrungs. In the center of that

palace upon a precious jeweled throne supported by five lions and cushions

of sun, moon, and lotus, is your root Lama in the form of a Rinzin Awareness

Holder surrounded by Khandros and Protectors.

དངོས་འབྱོར་དང་ཡིད་སྤྲུལ་གྱི་ཕྱི་ནང་གསང་བའི་མཆོད་སྤྲིན་རྒྱ་ཆེན་པོ་བཤམས། རྒྱན་དང་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་

མཆོད་ཅིང་བསྟོད་དང་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་པའི་དོན་ཇི་ལྟ་བ་བཞིན་དུ། ལྟ་ཉིད་དུ་བདག་གིས་ཐོབ་པར་མཛད་དུ་

གསོལ་ལོ་སྙམ་པའི་གསོལ་བ་ཕུར་ཚུགས་བཏབ་བོ།

Arrange a vast cloud offering of outer, inner, and secret offerings, both

material and imagined. I strongly pray that I may attain whatever offerings of

adornments and wealth are prayed for and praised.

In order to free all sentient beings of the six realms from the river of cyclic existence,

In the three unsurpassable celestial palaces,

Upon a flawless lotus, clear and radiant sun and moon cushions,

Please be seated upon the five lion, precious-jewelled throne.

The practitioners and all sentient beings equal to space,

Lü Chak Yen Lak Nga Den Chak Tsal Lo

We prostrate with the body with the five limbs,

ངག་ཕྱག་སྤྲོ་དགའི་དབྱངས་ཀྱིས་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ།

Ngak Chak Tro Gé Yang Kyi Chak Tsal Lo

We prostrate with the speech through joyful melodies.

ཡིད་ཕྱག་རྩེ་གཅིག་མོས་འདུན་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ།

Yi Chak Tse Chik Mö Dün Chak Tsal Lo

We prostrate with the mind through single-pointed faith and yearning.

May the negative actions and obscurations of the three doors be purified!

I confess all the non-virtues, including the ten sins and so forth.

སྡོམ་གསུམ་འགལ་སྲིད་ཁས་བླངས་ཉམས་པ་བཤགས།

Dom Sum Gal Si Khe Lang Nyam Pa Shak

I confess the violations and impairments of the three vows.

སེམས་ཉིད་མ་རྟོགས་གཟུ་ལུམ་གྱུར་ཚད་བཤགས།

Sem Nyi Ma Tok Zu Lum Gyur Tsé Shak

I confess not realizing the nature of mind and being deceitful about it.

Whatever deluded, dualistic grasping mental activity arises to them,

May those also be freely offered into the expanse of self-liberation.

In the self-radiance of the unborn essence of the mind,

འགག་མེད་སྐུ་དང་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཅི་ཤར་ཡང་།

Whatever arises as unceasing enlightened form and primordial wisdom,

This is also fully offered into the all-pervasive expanse.

I plant the great wick of unelaborated, great self-liberation.

I light the lamp of the all-pervasive, great bliss of the Natural State.

I offer the lamp of the View to the eyes of the authentic Lama.

I fill with the white incense of ungraspable, self-radiant clear light.

Fresh smoke continuously spreads by itself.

I offer the incense of Meditation to the nose of the protector of beings.

The medicinal elixir of the adornments of everything that arises without attachment is mixed.

Aspiration

ཇི་སྲིད་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་མ་ཐོབ་བར།

Until I attain Buddhahood,

དེ་སྲིད་གནས་ངན་ལུས་སྤང་དལ་འབྱོར་འཐོབ།

De Si Né Ngen Lü Pang Dal Jor Tob

May I abandon negative rebirths and obtain a body with the freedoms and endowments.

བསླབ་གསུམ་རྒྱུད་ཁྲོལ་ས་ལམ་དུས་གཅིག་བསྒྲོད།

Lab Sum Gyü Trol Sa Lam Dü Chik Drö

May I liberate my mind by the three trainings and traverse the ground and

paths simultaneously.

རྫོགས་སངས་རྒྱས་ནས་མཁའ་མཉམ་དོན་བྱེད་ཤོག

Dzok Sang Gyé Né Kha Nyam Dön Jé Shok

Having attained Buddhahood, may I benefit beings as vast as space.
