CHE HO
How pathetic! All the activities of samsara have no [reliable] meaning.
They are unreliable and change like the play of lightning.
There is no certainty when death will arrive.
Since death is certain, reduce grasping [to samsara].
Take the Lama’s instructions to heart and put them into action as the essential point.
In a hermitage with one-pointed concentration, without any doubt, find out what your mind is.
Conceptual mind is similar to lightning, wind, and clouds.
Thinking all kinds of fanciful thoughts deludes the mind.
There is no base to any of those thoughts if you investigate correctly.
They are like a mirage in the air, empty of essence.
As it appears, it is empty. As it is empty, it appears.
Keep the mind in its own natural state and relax.
When the mind is stable, then you will behold the nature of mind.
When you have great devotion to the Lama, you will receive blessings.
Accumulating merit and purifying obscurations will produce realization.
Therefore, continually practice with joyful effort.
Some practitioners asked me to give instructions for beginners. For that reason, I, Mipham, wrote this. Mangalam.
